The Cross Skating/Roller ski instructor course Level I & II is a one/two day course for Health and fitness professionals registered with Fitness Australia or anyone with the passions for the sport.
We strive to give each instructor the necessary skill and knowledge base to deliver a successful program with confidence and professionalism.
Our Course objectives are
Level I Cross skating / Roller ski instructors will demonstrate a solid basis of skills, knowledge and experience necessary to introduce others to the sport and to provide a foundation for further progress. The Level I instructor will have fundamental instructing skills and relevant information. This course is ideal for group exercise classes, one on one training. (Level 1 Instructors only participate in day one of the course)
Level II instructors will be able to teach roller skis and skates from novice to intermediate level. Level II instructors should demonstrate a sound understanding of the sport, and sufficient skills, knowledge and experience to 1) introduce clients to the sport 2) provide foundations for further learning 3) be able to take intermediate skiers/skaters forward in developing their skills and versatility. Level II Instructors will possess a solid appreciation of skiing/skating and teaching and will have wide knowledge of the sport. This course will give the instructors a more in depth understanding how to teach individual and group classes, sports specific coaching, schools or sports clubs.
The Cross Skating/Roller Ski Instructor course is approved by Fitness Australia. Registered members gain 7 CECs as a result of successful completion of Level I & II

Assessment and Successful completion of Cross Skating/Roller ski Instructor Level I & II
Attendance at the Cross Skating Australia Instructor Training course does not automatically result in obtaining the Cross Skating/Roller ski Instructor Level I & II certification. The ability to demonstrate and instruct techniques & skills to the satisfaction of the Head Course Instructor, plus achieving a ‘pass’ mark in the written & practical assessment is required.
Cancellation Policy
A minimum number of participants is required for the course to go ahead. In such a case that a course does not run, notification to registered participants will be given and rescheduling or a full refund will be offered.
Cancellation by participants for the Instructor Course will attract a $50 fee if notified 21 days or more before the course date. Cancellations of less than 21 days will result in a 50% refund of the course cost.
Course registration is valid and a place in the course is reserved when a completed registration form, supporting documents (Cert III in fitness or equivalent) and a full payment has been processed and accepted.
